I've been HORRIBLE at updating this blog so I'm going to start updating it again. I update my Photo Blog all the time so be sure to check it out if you would like to see more recent images.

Below are a few of my favorites from Tara and Brett's wedding at the beginning of October. I've been incredibly busy so I'm way behind on posting my images anywhere but still wanted to share these. They were truly an amazing couple and I had a great time with them!

A Beautiful Bride and an Old Plantation

One of the best things about being a photographer in Florida is that most of my weddings are either at the beach or at an old plantation.

Jennifer and John were married at Goodwood Museum and Gardens, an 1830's Plantation in Tallahassee, FL.
I wasn't surprised a bit that Jennifer was such a stunning bride! She was so calm and thrilled to be marrying John.

All Jennifer and John wanted to do was get married. I had such a great time with them and literally had goose bumps most of the day!

Thank you so much for letting me be apart of your incredible day!

Like most days this time of year rain graced us with its presence. But also like this time of year it quickly moved on leaving a beautiful sunny day!

Jennifer and John chose to see each other before the wedding so they could spend alone time together. After a few minutes we walked around the main house to get some shots of the two of them.

I met up with Pam and Sean in St. Augustine for their engagement session. I love the history of St. Augustine. Probably because it's a part of Florida history. St. Augustine was founded in 1565 by the Spanish and served as an outpost settlement by the Spanish and English and later by the Confederacy during the Civil War. (little history lesson for you) Not only is the history in St. Augustine an attraction but it's also the perfect place for a shoot!!!

I had a great time with Pam and Sean and am really looking forward to their wedding in October!! As you can see she will be a very beautiful bride!!

New Blog!

Over the last couple of months we've experienced a whirlwind of events. My husband successfully finished running a special election for state senate, we went on a vacation to Montana and after we got back I shot four weddings in three weeks, one of them in Iowa.

I haven't been very good at updating this blog because I started a new blog and couldn't find time to update both. You can check out our new blog at: www.marybethtyson.com/blog

This weekend a couple of our friends rented a condo in Boca Grande, FL. We had a great time just hanging out and resting. Below are a few images I took of the sunset one night.

Ryan and I are still on Montana so I wanted to take avantage of the opportunity to shoot my cousin's Senior Pictures. She is such an amazing girl! She works so hard and is always busy doing something. We had such a great time shooting these. We started in downtown Missoula and then headed to a park and then a railroad track by her house.

Ahhh, Glacier!

Ryan and I are in Montana for 15 days visiting my aunt and uncle and their three kids. On monday we drove up to Glacier National Park which is one of the most beautiful places I've evern been! I haven't been to Glacier in about 12 years so it was great to get back.

Put Glacier on your list of places to see!!

Looks like Ryan is being brave and checking out the edge.

Gainesville Wedding & Reception

Ryan and I are up late packing for our two week trip to Montana! This will be our first vacation since our honeymoon which was over a year ago!! As expected I'm not even close to finished and he's closing his suitcase now.

a non photography post...

i think blogging increases dramatically after the fourth of july. everyone i know is posting about their day. i thought i'd join in by posting a non photography post.

one of my favorite things to do is fish. the men in my family have been working on the water for many generations, as far back as the early 1800's or before. i grew up on the water and in a commercial fishing family.

on tuesday morning at 5 am i headed out grouper fishing with ryan (my husband), jarret (my brother) and our cousin heath and his wife on their newly updated 24 ft. outboard. the day started early but it was fun!!

oh!! all of these are shot with my new power shot camera! great point and shoot if you are looking for something like that. I got mine at target.

Albums Albums and more Albums

I'm in the middle of an album marathon!! I'm even dreaming about albums in my sleep.

I can't tell you how important albums are after you get married or even after a portrait session. I feel like they are the finishing touch to beautiful photography. When your photography tells a story the best way to present the story is in an album. They will also last you a lifetime and can be shared to generations to come. Framed pictures are so important and beautiful to display but nothing tells the story like an album.

A few months ago I introduced you to Banks. Banks is the three year old who lives next to my brother in Alabama. I had such a great time photographing Banks and his mother at the stable while they worked with their horses. I can't wait until they come to Florida in the fall and hopefully get in a Disney trip with them!!

Below are a few of the layouts from their album. There are a few changes to be made but this is what i just sent to them.

I also just finished the first draft of Mikalah and Jarrod's wedding album. Mikalah and Jarrod got married in Santa Rosa Beach back in May. Their wedding was beautiful!!!
